Ligon Volunteer of the Year
Ligon GT/AIG Basics Magnet Middle School students and staff have been awarded a multitude of awards over the years. Students represent and win competitions each year in clubs (Quiz Bowl, Chess, Math Counts), arts (Bands, Dance, Visual Arts), and other organizations (service clubs, volunteer work). Our magnet program is recognized nationally through awards of excellence or distinction. Our staff members are some of the best in the business and their work does not go unnoticed.
Ligon students, staff, and community look forward to the annual celebrations each year. Many of the celebrations are longheld traditions at Ligon. Ligonfest is the ultimate celebration at the end of the year. This is a half-day event where all students and staff enjoy games, music, and concessions. The end of year awards ceremonies are a treasured tradition for students and their families.
