As a Raleigh native and graduate of WCPSS, Meredith College and North Carolina State University, I have built my career in WCPSS. Last year I had the great fortune to serve as Principal Resident at Sanderson High School and Ligon GT/AIG Basics Magnet Middle School. Before my principal residency, I was the magnet coordinator at Lincoln Heights Magnet Elementary School where I helped launch the Environmental Connections magnet program. Prior to my time at Lincoln Heights, I taught and served as the Math Coach at Lynn Road Elementary and facilitated math intervention and enrichment at Wildwood Forest Elementary. Through these experiences, I worked hard to build positive and lasting relationships with students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders to ensure all children become the best version of themselves.
I recently graduated with my Masters in School Administration from NCSU. I was part of the Wake County Principal Leadership Program which was a graduate program designed by NCSU and WCPSS. I am looking forward to serving as an assistant principal in Wake County where I can continue to build authentic relationships, collaborate with key stakeholders, empower teacher leaders, and help ensure that all students have access to an equitable, rigorous, and relevant education each day. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband, Matt, is also a Raleigh native and like me believes strongly in public education. We have been married for 11 years and have two precious daughters, Elizabeth and Emmaline. We love the mountains, the beach, traveling and WOLFPACK sports! |
